Niftify | NFT Store & Marketplace builder

About Niftify
Niftify™ is an NFT e-commerce platform that enables anyone to launch compliant NFT stores and marketplaces from the comfort of their own domain. We’ve built a fully-compliant platform that allows users to create, buy, sell and swap NFTs.

Typography
We decided on using Proxima Nova as our typeface, due to its legibility and versatility. It's availability across multiple platforms and range of weights and styles make it accessible to designers and developers working on PaaS applications.

Color
We used vibrant colors and gradients to create an attention-grabbing and visually appealing design while also establishing a distinctive brand identity and representing the creativity of the NFT space. Well-defined neutrals were also used to provide a balanced contrast to the vibrant colors, grounding the design and making it more accessible to users.

Niftify PaaS Site Map
In order to maintain a clear and organized structure of the PaaS project, we created a site map. It's primary goal was to provide our team with a bird's eye view of the project, helping us stay on track and effectively navigate through the app's structure and the relationships between different screens.

The Process
On this project we worked together with a group of 20 talented developers, great project manager, and an outstanding marketing team. Due to our team being of a certain size the design process had to adapt.

Defining user personas
The Niftify PaaS was designed and built to help aid two types of users. Firstly we focused on the creative person, the artist, this is a user that wants to sell his/her NFTs on the web and wants to do this on his/her own terms and platform. The other users are major brands like Nike & Swarovski who also crave autonomy and wish to sell their digital products on their own terms, and do not possess expertise in creating elaborate web3 systems in the blockchain environment.

Handoff process
Rob Svenšek defined our handoff process witch consisted of a Figma file in witch each of the pages inside the Figma file build on the previous one, the hand off being the last one. The Figma file consisted of a thumbnail, inspiration, sandbox and hand off page.

Low fidelity wireframes
At the beginning of our product design process, we utilised low-fidelity wireframes because they provide numerous benefits. These include fast iteration of multiple ideas without getting bogged down in details, cost-effectiveness in testing and user feedback, prioritisation of product functionality over aesthetics, early user and stakeholder feedback on product structure and functionality, and flexibility in making quick changes as requirements evolve.

High fidelity wireframes
High-fidelity wireframes provide a more detailed and realistic representation of the final product. They offer a detailed visual representation of the product for designers, developers, and project managers. High-fidelity wireframes aid user testing by simulating the final product and gathering user feedback on the interface, functionality, and overall user experience.

The design system
Our design system consisted of two files: the 'PaaS Styles' file, which encompassed essential typography, colors, and layout sections, and the 'Components' file, which contained all the individual components. The two files were linked together to ensure consistency in typography, colors, and layout styles throughout the system.
By separating Styles from components, we had the flexibility to create multiple PaaS component files and experiment with various UI styles during the project's initial phase. In hindsight, it's interesting to reflect on this approach, considering the availability of branching design system functionalities. However, it's important to note that at the time of our project, this feature was not yet available, and we had to find alternative solutions.

Key Features of Niftify PaaS: A Brief Overview
The Niftify PaaS has many exciting features. Due to us wanting to keep the project presentation as short as we could, we focused on the following three functionalities.

Create and Customize your own NFT Store or Marketplace
The Niftify store/marketplace builder is defined as Platform as a service or PaaS for short. Users can create custom NFT stores and marketplaces without getting overwhelmed with building and maintaining the infrastructure usually associated with this process.

Sell, buy & swap NFTs
Users can buy, sell and swap NFTs on their own custom NFT stores & marketplaces, on NFT stores & Marketplaces created by other users, and on Niftify’s official marketplace.

Create & Scheduled NFT Drops for Whitelist Users
Users are able to create and schedule NFT drops for their own custom allowlists. NFT Drops is a feature that allows creators to pre-announce when launching their latest NFT projects. Fans and collectors can set reminders about these upcoming drops and get notified when an NFT is available to purchase or mint.
